If you’ve visited Santa Rosa Beach and Hwy 30A over the past ten years, you know that there are very few grocery stores in the area. That number has recently grown and will continue to grow in the near future!
Publix near Watersound Origins is now open! Located in Watersound Town Center, on the northwest corner of Hwy 98 and North Watersound Parkway, this newest location provides a larger variety of grocery goods for Alys Beach, Rosemary Beach, Inlet Beach, and others near the Watersound Origins community. Residents and renters alike used to drive to Panama City Beach or to the Publix at Watercolor Crossings.

Modica Market
One of the oldest standing groceries near 30A, Modica Market is located in the heart of Seaside. Fresh pastries, subs, and sandwiches are made daily. Bread, dairy, deli meat, spices, and spirits are available and much more. We buy a bunch of our favorite local Tupelo honey from Modica Market each month.
For the Health of It
Located on Hwy 30A near Blue Mountain Beach, FTHOI is a locally owned and operated health food grocery store. For the Health of It is THE BEST place to go for supplements and tinctures in the area. You’ll find quite a few organic products including produce, spices, pastured meats, and more. Don’t miss out on the amazing smoothies that are made to order at the juice bar up front!
Whole Foods Market
Still the king of organic, non-gmo, and gluten-free groceries, Whole Foods Market in Destin is our primary resource for weekly shopping. Now owned by Amazon, Whole Foods delivers to most neighborhoods in Miramar Beach, Santa Rosa Beach, and along 30A. Order online at Amazon.com and select Whole Foods from the main product categories.
Winn-Dixie
Winn-Dixie is the closest thing to a traditional supermarket in Miramar Beach. Whether you need toiletries, snacks, or first aid, Winn Dixie is a safe bet. There are 2 Publix supermarkets closer to 30A than Winn-Dixie, however, so there’s rarely a reason to shop there.
Fresh Market
Furthest from 30A but one of the oldest grocery stores in the area, Fresh Market is a cross between Trader Joes and Whole Foods, but with higher prices. When we first visited Destin and Miramar Beach back in 2013, Fresh Market was our primary grocery resource. Don’t expect to find any supplements, remedies, or tinctures here.
