Best Coffee Shops Near 30A

Craving good coffee while exploring Florida’s Emerald Coast? A Santa Rosa Beach local shares the best coffee shops on 30A—perfect for visitors from Nashville, Franklin, and Atlanta.

Because Bad Coffee Should Never Be Part of Your Beach Vacation

Welcome to 30A! Whether you’re rolling in from Nashville, cruising down from Birmingham, or making the quick trip from Atlanta, chances are you’ll wake up that first morning on the coast wondering: “Where’s the good coffee?”

As someone who’s called Santa Rosa Beach home for years (and considers good coffee a sacred part of the day), I’ve tried just about every coffee spot along this 24-mile stretch. Some are perfect for grabbing a cup to go before a beach walk. Others are cozy little nooks where you can relax, people-watch, and sip something special.

Let me show you the best places to get your caffeine fix, with a few insider tips along the way.

☕️ 1. Black Bear Bread Co. (Grayton Beach + Seaside)

If you only try one coffee shop on 30A, make it Black Bear. This bakery-meets-café is the kind of place where locals and visitors bump elbows over lattes and fresh-baked croissants.

More famous than the coffee is the bread. They make amazing bread! I get a loaf or two of sourdough whenever I go. A family favorite. The pastries and danishes are also delightful. Truly, I haven’t had a bad experience at Black Bear. Five stars!

What to order: Iced latte with oat milk, cold brew, almond croissant
Local tip: The Grayton Beach location has a full menu with brunch options. The Seaside outpost (inside The Court) is a grab-and-go window, perfect for beach picnics.

📍 Locations:

  • Grayton Beach (across from Chanticleer Eatery)
  • Seaside (on the lawn near Modica Market)

☕️ 2. Amavida Coffee (Seaside + Rosemary Beach)

Amavida has been a staple on 30A for years, and with good reason. They roast their own beans, support fair trade, and have a vibe that’s equal parts laid-back and earthy.

What to order: Drip coffee (rotating single-origin), matcha latte, affogato
Local tip: The Rosemary Beach location is ideal for early risers—grab your coffee and stroll the boardwalk before the crowds show up.

📍 Locations:

  • Rosemary Beach (next to Cowgirl Kitchen)
  • Seaside (across from Sundog Books)

☕️ 3. Blue Mountain Bakery (Blue Mountain Beach)

This one’s a bit of a local secret. Known more for their breakfast burritos (choose bacon) and cinnamon rolls (OMG so good), Blue Mountain Bakery also serves up good coffee—and a big side of friendly service.

What to order: Iced coffee with homemade almond milk, breakfast burrito
Local tip: There’s a shaded patio out front where you can sip and enjoy the breeze. Kid- and dog-friendly, too!
